Assignment #2 - TEAR Paragraph
In Cormac McCarthy's bleak novel, "The Road," the man is pulled by two compelling obligations. One of these obligations is his responsibility of taking care of his son and the other is that of the survival of himself. While on their journey on the road the man faces many harsh times the lead him to having no choice but to keep his son alive at no cost. The love he has for his son is what basically drives himself to finding some sort of shelter and food for him to eat. The obligation of keeping himself alive is over that of his son. If he is not alive then there is no way for him to take care of his son.
